Well the gas prices are well on there way to the $4.10 a gallon that research shows it takes before the Average American will reduce demand enough to make a difference. Everyone now realizes that our lifestyle is NOT Sustainable. Yet some Polititians want to reduce the pain by cutting the price a little by removing the Federal tax for highway funds. This is obviously wrong for the greater long term good, since Economics 101 says the higher the price, the less the demand, which is what what the world needs since peak oil is a reality.
Ronald would never get elected because he wants to do the opposite, Raise taxes on oil and use the money to develope the Alternate Transportation that does not use Oil. Killing the EV1 shows what Big oil and big car companys think of Alternates.

The Oil giants are still reaping the benefits of their political contributions raking in record profits. So much so they are using much of those profits to buy back their stock so they can keep more of the profit they expect for the forseeable future as they see it. And that is where people who believe in Alternates for energy that are sustainable can make such a huge difference even if it is only one light bulb at a time. But those millions add up to a future that may be different than Cheny and his chronies envision.

Come to our next meetup and I will tell you what I learned from a recent Visit into town to MacGreger park and how Henry Fredrick Macgreger greatly contributed to a sustainable Houston in the late 1800's. So where did WE lose our way??? And more important, why did our fathers let it happen?? Where is that Galveston Electric Trolly when we need it to run like it did for so many years not really so long ago??

We need your RSVP for our meeting even if it is to say NO, and if we meet on the freeway my SUV Attack Vecihle will shut up Ronald's little 1989 Toyota and his big mouth for for good!!
