What should the US do to slow Global Warming

As the members of this group know, The World looks on the USA as the Big Pollutor of 1000 pounds or so of CO2 every second. They think the USA cares little because of what the government has done. The country is spending at least 100 million a day in Iraq to get more oil to make gasoline to burn in USA so the Citizens of this country do not have to pay higher gas prices which may encourage them to conserve and contribute to the true enviornmental cost of this EXTRAVEGANT LIFESTYLE.
